Children are safer riding rear-facing and should ride rear-facing until they reach the maximum rear-facing height or weight rating for their seat. Graco® Extend2Fit® 3-in-1 Car Seat featuring TrueShield Technology features a 4-position extension panel that provides 5” of extra legroom allowing your child to ride safely rear-facing longer. The seat can be used as a rear-facing car seat (4-50 lb), then a forward-facing 5-point harness seat (22-65 lb) and lastly a highback belt-positioning booster (40-100 lb). Care & Maintenance
- CLEANING SEAT PAD: Machine wash pad & canopy in cold water with gentle soap on delicate cycle & drip dry. Do not use bleach
- CLEANING BUCKLE: Place in a cup of warm water and gently agitate the buckle. Press red button several times while in the water. Do not submerge the buckle strap. Do not use soap, detergents or lubricants
- CLEANING HARNESS: Surface wash only with mild soap & damp cloth or wipes. Do not immerse harness straps or latch strap in water. For full instructions see here

Definitely recommend!
Our son sits great in this seat! I can tell he is comfortable. He is easy to get in and out of. It was also easy to install. My only love/dislike is the cup holders. Love that they're easy to remove and clean. However my son can pull off them off the seat while trying to get his cup out. Honestly overall a wonderful seat!

Requires some strength and flexibility to install
I suggest adjusting for the child before installation. I'm going to just list all my complaints right off the bat. It's difficult to adjust the crotch strap once installed, especially with leg extender out. The recline buttons are both in an awkward place once the seat is installed and require some hand strength which apparently I don't have a lot of. There is no way to get a good grip, you just have to push in the button from an awkward angle. I was dismayed that there was not a level bubble on both sides. I now have two of these in the car, so I had to walk around the car to see if the level button is in the right place. Lastly, once installed, the recline indicator (the blue lines on the sides of the car seat) is behind the arm rest cover. Now that it's installed, I wish there was a little spot to put the buckles when not in use. Inevitably the buckle is under the child once the child is in the carseat. And I can't store both versions of the manual (English & Spanish) in the little slot on the back of the car seat. One last complaint, I wish these car seats came in a light, or lighter, color. It gets quite hot here in NM and the black car seats don't help.
All that said, I still think it's worth the hassle of getting the seat installed and fitted to the child. Not a huge price to pay for safety and hopefully, longevity. My little grandkids are off the charts height-wise, I hope the seat remains suitable as long as claimed. This is the TrueShield version which I don't believe Graco does a very good job of advertising. You really have to be paying attention which version you're buying: non-TrueShield or TrueShield.

Peace of mind
I purchased this carseat for my second daughter, I wanted to make sure it matched my oldest car seat and this is perfect! My girls are very petite so they stay rear facing for a long time and having the extender on it gave me peace of mind knowing she will be safe and comfortable. She loves her carseat, can sleep comfortably in it.

Love it!!
I looked at everything and this was the best seat I could find that fit all our needs. We have an older suburban without top tethers, and these will rear face our twins until they are ready for boosters. The tray will be great to have somewhere to fold up long legs as they get older! For fit reference, we put our 51lb, 51inch tall 8y/o in it in booster mode, and the headrest was just barely too low on the highest setting. This seat will work for our 2y/o twins for a long time! The material feels great and everything is nicely made and pleasant to use.
