frequentlyAskedQuestions
    • HOW TO TIGHTEN/LOOSEN HARNESS STRAPS? Please reference the Car Seat Manual for instructions [insert link here once available]
    • IS THIS SEAT A CONVERTIBLE? No, the Graco® Nautilus® 2.0 LX is a 3-in-1 Harness Booster car seat that grows with your child from toddler to big kid, as a forward-facing harness (22-65 lb), highback booster (40-100 lb), and backless booster (40-120 lb).
    • WHEN SHOULD I TRANSITION MY CHILD FROM A HARNESS TO A SEAT BELT? When forward-facing, children should use the built-in harness system for as long as possible until they reach the maximum forward-facing weight or height for their car seat. At that point, children should ride in a belt-positioning booster seat. A booster is no longer needed once the vehicle seat belt fits properly, typically when they reach 4 feet 9 inches tall and are between ages 8-12. • HOW DO I LOOSEN UP THE LATCH TO REMOVE FROM THE CAR? If using an InRight LATCH, press on the grey button and pull on the strap to extend the length. Then press the red button to pull out from the lower anchors of the vehicle. If using a Hook LATCH, press on the grey button and pull on the strap to extend the length. Then press the clip to remove the hook from the lower anchors of the vehicle.
    • HOW DO YOU ATTACH THE BACK OF A HIGHBACK BOOSTER TO THE BASE? Please reference the Car Seat Manual for instructions.
    • CAN I INSTALL USING LATCH IN THE MIDDLE SEAT IF THE LATCH ANCHORS ARE ON THE OUTBOARD SEATS? Review your vehicle's owner manual for exact location and use of lower anchors and top tether. LATCH can only be used if the vehicle LATCH anchor spacing is 11 inches (28 cm) from the center of one LATCH anchor to the center of the other LATCH anchor. If the spacing is greater than 11 inches, it can only be used if all three of the following are met: 1) The vehicle manual and car seat manual both allow it. 2) Connection to the lower anchors does not interfere with the vehicle belts of other passengers. 3) You are able to achieve a secure installation that does not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back.
    • HOW DO I KNOW IF MY SEAT IS INSTALLED CORRECTLY? Before beginning the installation, review your car seat manual and vehicle manual for specific information about your car seat model and vehicle type. Go through the checklist below to help confirm you have a secure installation: 1) Test for Tightness: Grab the sides of the car seat at the belt path and move side-to-side and front-to-back. The car seat should not move more than an inch in any direction. If it does move more than an inch, repeat the installation and refer to your car seat manual. 2) Check the Harness Height: When using the 5-point harness forward-facing, the harness should be AT or ABOVE the child's shoulders. Raise or lower the harness as needed. 3) Secure the Chest Clip: The chest clip should be at the level of the child's armpits. Raise or lower as needed. 4) Do the pinch test: Pinch the harness webbing at the child's shoulders. If you can pinch any excess webbing, the harness is too loose. Use the front adjuster strap to tighten until you cannot pinch any excess webbing. If you have all checked all of the above, you have a secure installation!
    • WHAT IS A HIGHBACK BOOSTER? There are many different types of car seats out there and Graco® wants to make sure you find the correct one that fits your child's need. There are 3 types of booster seats: 1) Harness boosters, 2) highback belt-positioning boosters and 3) backless belt-positioning booster. Nautilus 2.0 LX is a harness booster that changes from a forward-facing harness booster to highback and backless booster. Highback and Backless belt-positioning boosters are designed to boost the child’s height so the seat belt fits properly. Highback boosters also provide neck and head support. http://www.gracobaby.com/en-US/safety-information
    • WHAT IS A BACKLESS BOOSTER? There are 3 types of booster seats: 1) Harness boosters, 2) highback belt-positioning boosters and 3) backless belt-positioning booster. Nautilus 2.0 LX is a harness booster that changes from a forward-facing harness booster to highback and backless boosters. Highback and Backless belt-positioning boosters are designed to boost the child’s height so the seat belt fits properly. Highback boosters also provide neck and head support. http://www.gracobaby.com/en-US/safety-information
    • WHAT IS INRIGHT LATCH? InRight™ LATCH is Graco's one-second, push-in LATCH connector for easy installation.
    • WHY WOULD I NEED A LATCH SYSTEM OR LOWER ANCHORS ON A BELT POSITIONING BOOSTER SEAT? LATCH systems or lower anchors on Belt Positioning Boosters provide a secure connection to your vehicle, keeping the booster affixed to your vehicle seat when not in use and keeping the booster properly in place for easy self-buckling for child.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great booster Great booster with harness, purchased for our 7 year old granddaughter who has Cerebal Palsy and requires the harness-looks like she will be able to grow into it for a while.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stop selling old car seats I bought this last week and they delivered a 2021 car seat We are in 2024

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality, bad design! I bought this seat for my grandson to use. It's design and quality are good. My only issue with this particular seat is when baby falls asleep it doesn't recline enough to keep his head from hanging forward. I've tried every adjustment to no avail.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 3 year old car seat sent I love this car seat so we bought a second one to have in my husband’s car. Just received it and it’s already 3 years old. Sending it back. Sad as it’s a great car seat but can’t keep buying new ones every couple of years just these are being sent with only a half life left in them. They should be marked down much more when they are this old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built and comfortable 3 It is a well built car seat and seams comfortable to our grandson. I believe that it is safe for him. I would recommend this car seat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great seat for toddler to young. child I have 6 of these seats in my vehicles. My children have not once complained for comfort on long trips. They are easy to adjust the height not so much the belt once the child is seated tho. The kids enjoy the inside pocket to hide their trinkets. And snacks. Its not a terribly heavy carseat but they don't fit 3 in a row very well for any smaller vehicle like an explorer or any car or extended cab f150 is also a not gonna fit. But it's not difficult to clean or take all of the covers off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Would not purchase from manufacturer Would not purchase directly from the manufacturer. Item ships in only its original store box. Carseat is not adequately protected. Mine arrived with multiple holes in the box and the metal frame of the seat exposed. Absolutely would not trust using a potentially damaged seat with my child. Graco customer service was able to set up a return which I appreciate, but still frustrating to have the extra chore of returning the seat and waiting for a refund. Additionally, the carseat was manufactured significantly over a year ago, which matters in terms of how long you can use the seat. I went to a retailer locally, purchased the same carseat with an undamaged box, and the seat was over one year newer. I would recommend this seat but only if you can buy it in person to confirm box condition and date of manufacturing. While the manufacturer obviously is not in charge of how companies like FedEx handle their item once it is shipped, they could do a much better job of packing it in a way that protects the seat, especially for an item as import as a potentially life saving carseat.
