With 3 modes of use, your child can ride securely with a forward-facing harness from 22-65 lb, a highback booster from 40-100 lb, and a backless booster seat from 40-120 lb. The updated, sleeker design includes quilted soft goods and InRight™ LATCH provides an easy, one-second attachment with an audible click to help ensure secure installation. Its Simply Safe Adjust™ harness allows you to adjust the harness and headrest together as your child grows, with no time-consuming rethreading. - CLEANING BUCKLE: Place in a cup of warm water and gently agitate the buckle. Press red button several times while in the water. Do not submerge the buckle strap. Do not use soap, detergents or lubricants

- WHEN SHOULD I TRANSITION MY CHILD FROM A HARNESS TO A SEAT BELT? When forward-facing, children should use the built-in harness system for as long as possible until they reach the maximum forward-facing weight or height for their car seat. At that point, children should ride in a belt-positioning booster seat. A booster is no longer needed once the vehicle seat belt fits properly, typically when they reach 4 feet 9 inches tall and are between ages 8-12. - HOW DO I LOOSEN UP THE LATCH TO REMOVE FROM THE CAR? If using an InRight LATCH, press on the grey button and pull on the strap to extend the length. Then press the red button to pull out from the lower anchors of the vehicle. If using a Hook LATCH, press on the grey button and pull on the strap to extend the length. Then press the clip to remove the hook from the lower anchors of the vehicle.
- HOW DO YOU ATTACH THE BACK OF A HIGHBACK BOOSTER TO THE BASE? Please reference the Car Seat Manual for instructions.
- CAN I INSTALL USING LATCH IN THE MIDDLE SEAT IF THE LATCH ANCHORS ARE ON THE OUTBOARD SEATS? Review your vehicle's owner manual for exact location and use of lower anchors and top tether. LATCH can only be used if the vehicle LATCH anchor spacing is 11 inches (28 cm) from the center of one LATCH anchor to the center of the other LATCH anchor. If the spacing is greater than 11 inches, it can only be used if all three of the following are met: 1) The vehicle manual and car seat manual both allow it. 2) Connection to the lower anchors does not interfere with the vehicle belts of other passengers. 3) You are able to achieve a secure installation that does not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back.
- HOW DO I KNOW IF MY SEAT IS INSTALLED CORRECTLY? Before beginning the installation, review your car seat manual and vehicle manual for specific information about your car seat model and vehicle type. Go through the checklist below to help confirm you have a secure installation: 1) Test for Tightness: Grab the sides of the car seat at the belt path and move side-to-side and front-to-back. The car seat should not move more than an inch in any direction. If it does move more than an inch, repeat the installation and refer to your car seat manual. 2) Check the Harness Height: When using the 5-point harness forward-facing, the harness should be AT or ABOVE the child's shoulders. Raise or lower the harness as needed. 3) Secure the Chest Clip: The chest clip should be at the level of the child's armpits. Raise or lower as needed. 4) Do the pinch test: Pinch the harness webbing at the child's shoulders. If you can pinch any excess webbing, the harness is too loose. Use the front adjuster strap to tighten until you cannot pinch any excess webbing. If you have all checked all of the above, you have a secure installation!
- WHAT IS A HIGHBACK BOOSTER? There are many different types of car seats out there and Graco® wants to make sure you find the correct one that fits your child's need. There are 3 types of booster seats: 1) Harness boosters, 2) highback belt-positioning boosters and 3) backless belt-positioning booster. Nautilus 2.0 LX is a harness booster that changes from a forward-facing harness booster to highback and backless booster. Highback and Backless belt-positioning boosters are designed to boost the child’s height so the seat belt fits properly. - WHY WOULD I NEED A LATCH SYSTEM OR LOWER ANCHORS ON A BELT POSITIONING BOOSTER SEAT? LATCH systems or lower anchors on Belt Positioning Boosters provide a secure connection to your vehicle, keeping the booster affixed to your vehicle seat when not in use and keeping the booster properly in place for easy self-buckling for child.

Full review and initial thoughts
I just recently switched from the Graco DLX 4-ever to the Nautilus 65. It has all the safety features I have known to expect from a this brand. And my kids live the fun pattern and design of the fabric. They are very focused on the safety. However there are a two items that I was hoping for with the new model that I did not get from an ease of use perspective. The first is the seat clips are not the seatbelt style with a button click release. If you are changing seats frequently, that is a helpful feature. The second is that the straps seem to pull and retract less smoothly as the DLX. It may need some time to break in, but it was noticeable to me right away.

Graco's new updated Nautilus 2.0
I always go to Graco products to help with my needs, whether it was for my daughter and now my granddaughter. I saw the new updated Nautilus and instantly like the quality of the cover. I love how fresh the updated Nautilus look and feel. Also, my granddaughter loves the armrests and the cupholders.

Comfy seat!
We really like it. On one side, the cloth panel comes undone a lot. It only takes a second to fix but having more sturdy Velcro or a snap there would be nice! My daughter finds it very comfy, so we are happy with it.

Love it, only down side is it's got the old clips instead of the easy lock in with the red button release. We've played with the height adjustment to address how the straps sit.
