SnugRide® Turn & Slide™ Product Update
Graco voluntarily recalled select SnugRide® Turn & Slide™ products sold in the United States from January 2026 through March 2026 after identifying an issue during post-production laboratory testing.
Since then, Graco has made engineering updates, added review steps, and conducted additional testing. SnugRide Turn & Slide products available beginning in October 2026 reflect these updates and have been thoroughly tested to meet applicable federal safety standards and Graco’s own safety standards.
This page is intended to help parents and caregivers understand whether their product may have been included in the earlier recall and what has changed with the updated SnugRide Turn & Slide.

What changed?
After identifying the issue, Graco worked to understand the cause, support affected families, and make the appropriate updates.
The updated SnugRide Turn & Slide reflects:

These updates were made as part of Graco’s ongoing commitment to continuously improve how we design, evaluate, and validate our products.
Is the updated SnugRide Turn & Slide safe to use?
Yes. SnugRide Turn & Slide products available beginning in October 2026 have been updated and thoroughly tested to meet applicable federal safety standards and Graco’s own ProtectPlus® safety standards.
Parents and caregivers should always use the product according to the instructions included with the car seat.

Will my original SnugRide® Turn & Slide infant car seat shell that I kept as part of the recall, work with the new base? If not, why?
For your child’s safety, we do not recommend using the original recalled SnugRide® Turn & Slide infant car seat shell with the new base. The relaunched SnugRide® Turn & Slide was designed and evaluated as a complete seat and base system, and it should be used only with the components and instructions that come with the new product.
If you still have your original recalled product, please do not use it with a base.
