No extra sheets sold, cloth mattress, seems cheapl
This review is about the quality of the product, the cleaning, and lack of extras to purchase like sheets and a mattress protector. I am returning without using because of these issues.
I was hoping this bassinet would be a good replacement for the $$ snoo. It is definitely not comparable to me. Upon putting it together, it was nice and light, but also felt cheap. The stitching on the bassinet was all wonky and not even. The first thing that I noticed was the cloth mattress. It did come with a very thin sheet. If a child has an accident, it will soak right through into the cloth mattress and be unusable until it is properly cleaned. I called Graco to see about getting an extra sheet and a mattress protector. They do not sell any additional items for this bassinet. I think it would be very difficult to clean the mattress once the child has had an accident on it. I do not like that. The legs are very difficult to put on and takeoff. Since it is screwed on, you would not want to do it too many times. I had high hopes for this bassinet but it just fell flat.

Loud and useless
So I wrote a previous review but I am now updating with a lower rating after 2 months. The bassinet squeaks like crazy now and is so noisy! The low setting no long works for my three month old, it barely rocks and almost feels “off track” because it clicks and catches to try to rock resulting in a loud annoyance. The vibration is too weak, I’m barely able to feel anything and the cry detection basically needs your baby to be wailing before kicking in. My three month old is in the smaller scale and is touching the sides already. Overall pretty unhappy with this bassinet, I can it take the loudness. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Disappointing
We bought this with high hopes but it has not lived up to our expectations. I’ve waited it out to see how long it takes the cry detection to work. Our baby was wailing, way past the point of the bassinet being able to soothe him before it started rocking. It also started squeaking after a couple weeks of use and has continued to squeak for the 2 months that we’ve used it. I wish it was still within the return period and I would return it. It’s a very aesthetically pleasing bassinet but just not worth the money with the features not working how they are supposed to.

Looks nice, but doesn’t really work
Looks nice, but this isn’t a a 1/4 priced version of a certain much nicer bassinet, which we had with our first kid. Baby needs to cry quite loudly before the bassinet will automatically start rocking, at which point our baby would not go back to sleep. Also, ours ended up being pretty noisy while rocking, so we ultimately returned it.

Great bassinet. High quality & excellent features
To start, this bassinet is beautiful. Great design and the materials are really nice. It has a really clean, quality look and design.
The assembly could not have been easier. I think the included instructions actually make it seem more complicated than it is. Watch the video. It’s a really simple 5 minute assembly.
The size and design of the sleeping area are perfect. Nice breathable materials and a solid sleeping surface with just the right amount of give. For those thinking that the surface is too hard, do some research. Infants must have a firm sleeping surface.
As for the electronic functions, the rocking and vibration are excellent. On the lowest setting the rocking works with our 2 week old daughter like magic. While it is gentle, I do wish there was one lower setting. As for the smart features (happy baby button), they do work. We don’t use them because I have not yet figured out how to disable certain aspects when it’s on. For instance, it turns on sound when it activates which I would prefer not to use since we have a separate sound machine.
Overall, A+ product that is better than anything out there costing less than $1500.

I can finally sleep
I absolutely love this SmartSense soothing bassinet! I can finally sleep a little better at night, since my baby is sleeping better! When she starts to fuss a little, it automatically kicks on and starts to soothe her. I was able to pick the sound that works best for her and easily pair it to my phone. Not only has it improved my sleep, but I've been able to pump and get chores done around the house because my baby is soothed as soon as she starts to fuss, without me having to remove her and lay her down again. The fabric is super soft she absolutely loves it. She don't need her lovie, she rubs her little hands on the mat and gets rocked lightly back to sleep. I thank Stellar Product Testing Panel so much for giving me the opportunity to try out the SmartSense Soothing Bassinet. It has made a huge difference in our lives. More time to get things done, more sleep, means better moods. I have never tried such an amazing bassinet or bed for my babies. I wish I would have had it for my first!

Customization is key
TL;DR If you can power through the adjustment period, the number of actually useful features make this bassinet a more-than-worthwhile investment.
In terms of style, comfort, quality, and function, this bassinet delivers! Setup is quick, especially if you break out the actual instructions vs. the quick-start guide. Love the neutral, modern aesthetic. I feel like it elevates our space, which isn't the case with most baby items. The semi-opaque, breathable mesh is one of my favorite features, as it both looks and feels high-end while supporting safe sleep (essential with a kicky 10-week-old who consistently finds his way to the wall). The organic cotton sheet softens after an initial wash and is included (which should always be the case; other brands take note). It's a perfect fit on the secured mattress, which is firm, but cozy.
Then there's the tech. Whether your baby prefers rocking, vibration, rocking with vibration, white noise, lullabies, white noise + lullabies synced with vibration, high volume, low volume, high speed, low speed, personal playlists—you can customize the settings to meet your baby's specific needs. Determining what those needs are is the challenge. The cry detection is impressive and responsive. It's REALLY neat seeing it in action. And for my baby it works...most of the time.
At first the rocking + vibration startled him, but eventually he acclimated and it became a helpful tool in soothing him back to sleep or keeping him content after waking, gifting me time that is in short supply these days. That part I love! And for day sleep it's been wonderful.
As for night sleep, we're still adjusting. I realize there is a fine line between allowing time for baby to self-soothe, and waiting too long to engage—to the point baby is wide awake and the soothing features are no longer sufficient. Because babies are so unique in their needs (even from nap time to bedtime), I'd love it if there were a way to adjust the response time on the cry detection. That said, it could be exactly right for your baby! And if it is, it is worth every penny.
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for offering access to such an innovative product. Overall impressed with everything Graco packs in at this price point. Excited to see how it serves us during the upcoming 4-month sleep regression. We'll take all the help we can get!

MUST HAVE
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I had the opportunity to try out the Graco SmartSense Soothing Bassinet. This product has truly been a game-changer for us. My four-week-old baby, like many newborns, loves being held and rocked, which can make sleep challenging. However, with this bassinet, both my baby and I are getting more restful sleep.
One of the standout features is the cry detector. When my baby cries, the bassinet gently soothes with motion and will restart after 30 seconds if the crying continues. The motion is natural and smooth, with no sudden movements, which keeps my baby content. There are three speed levels and three volume settings to choose from, allowing for customization based on our needs.
I also appreciate the mesh sides, which are breathable and allow me to see my baby easily. The Bluetooth feature and modern design fit perfectly with our home's aesthetic. I only wish this had been available for my older children, as it would have definitely been a must-have on my baby registry.
I love this bassinet and the fact that it is an affordable, budget-friendly option. You’re getting everything you want and need without sacrificing quality, aesthetic, or bells and whistles.
