Still using and will always use graco
We had this with our daughter and are now using it again for our son (same one within 5 years). It’s a great car seat, light weight, durable, and most importantly I TRUST graco and their products to keep my kids safe.

The best infant car seat
This is the car seat we’ve been using for almost a year! My son is about to need a new car seat so i’ve been on here shopping for one. I would 100% recommend this car seat to any new parents looking for a car seat! it had me worry free while driving with him alone!!

Seat doesn’t seem secure
I received this car seat as a gift for our first baby. We installed it in the car and got the base extremely secure and unmoving. Clicked the car seat into the base and it’s wiggling all around. Not the base, but the seat itself. Doesn’t seem very secure in the slightest but not sure what else to do.

i got this car seat used completely new with the base and have used it since my son has been born and he is 6 months old now. Christmas day 12/25/23 we had just come home so tired and exhausted from an extremely busy and long day out with family and friends. We were getting things out of the car and had placed our son in his car seat on the dining room table he rocked with his legs to the side of the table while strapped into the car seat still and fell about 4 feet from the table to the hard wood floor in his car seat. i freaked out but the car seat COMPLETELY BROKE HIS FALL!!! handle was up and all and i am grateful EXTREMELY GRATEFUL! it’s an amazing car seat super strong and very sturdy and built to last. i 10000000/10 would recommend this car seat to any new or current mother!!

Take a car seat safety class + child first aid/cpr
Every parent on here complaining about the lack of “padding” & “seat belt strap covers/pads” needs to take a car seat safety class !!! This has been addressed literally over 20+ years ago when I had my first infant & took the classes. This was also before the LATCH system existed & you actually had to know how to install a base & car seat, locking belts, proper angle/positioning, belt clips, etc & even used to to get them inspected after install by the local fire department.
Beyond some seats actually being too big for a newborn (check the MIN & max weights & ages for car seats !!! Mass / height - not just age matters for all seats !!) - There is NOT supposed to be padding between the infant & the car seat to avoid compression / moment during a crash. This also applies to the belt & why you also never put a child in big puffy coats into a car seat under the belts.
If the head flop is an issue with certain insert designs that are lacking around the head, you take a towel, roll it up & wrap around the inside / sides of the baby, for lateral support only - nothing else should be between the infant & the back of the seat or the belts except a onesie thickness material. No coats; no blankets; nothing under the belts or between the seat & the child’s body!
*Sternum belt clip: armpit / nipple line. Not up by the chin, not on the stomach & always connected.
Safety & survivability are the essential criteria: it’s never been about comfort or even warmth if it interferes with the first two critical considerations.
You also never have the handle up while it’s installed with the child in a car, you don’t hang toys, you don’t flip those mirrors & even give consideration to not keeping groceries, pets or even other adult passengers next to the child in the car if possible , in the advent of a crash.
PS: they should also be installed in the center of the car if at all possible as well. They’re made to rotate, absorb front / rear impacts / side impacts can be devastating if they’re near a door …which some cars today also have side impact airbags that could be an issue in certain circumstances. Read the manufacturers info for the car , car seat & take a class !!!
Bucket seats used to an issue for angle as well, which is why many seats included “bubble” levels for years now too. Some cars need support towels , pool noodles under the front (back) end when locking down to set the appropriate level, etc - or use a different style seat or car.
We’d literally kneel into the car seat stalled to eliminate virtually any / all movement whatsoever , leaving indentations into my seats after I removed the seat or locking base to clean the car.
I figured twenty years of education would have solved these issues & I’m sad to see the entire generation now having kids are apparently skipping the pre-parent & car seat safety classes again. Please take them, get it inspected & take an infant / child CPR / first aid course too. These have been around / available for at least two decades.
At the bare minimum, legitimate manufacture Videos; google search of manufacturer data, recalls, safety testing, etc & decades of crash information is available everywhere. I’m honestly surprised this still isn’t common knowledge at this point.
Take the classes. A manual out of a box isn’t enough for the life & care of a child. This includes educating non-full time co-parents, grandparents, babysitters (emergencies!), etc that ever care for your child or transport them in their vehicles too. Why we used the bases & I installed them personally in any vehicle used & ensured my parents or anyone driving my child then also knew how to lock the west, check it, drop the handle, move items in the main car area, etc before they’d transport my infant.
It doesn’t change with forward facing. Delay as long as possible & use 5 point harnesses , properly installed seats (not boosters) again, head wings, etc are options. Height & weight - NOT age only for proper belt placement & protection inside of the seat / car, not just what is comfortable for the child. Do n not children to move the shoulder harness while driving if they do go to a booster at yes - even over the age of 12 possibly - if shorter then what is recommended for the car / body size / proper belt positioning!
Please again, take the official classes…all partners, parents, sitters, grandparents even. I’ll be a grandpa soon & my own now parent age kids will be taking these as well.

Poor quality seat and customer service
I got this car seat as a replacement to my snugride snuglock 35. This car seat barely has any padding compared to my original seat. When I contacted Graco to share my concerns about how little padding there was and that I wanted something more comparable to what I was sending back I was greeted by a nasty customer service rep who only cared about my warranty and not my concerns as a parent. I was also told to use a rolled up washcloth to provide more comfort and padding for my baby.

Terrible product & Customer Service
We were gifted a car seat for our baby shower purchased directly from Graco's website. Upon opening the car seat to take our son out of the hospital, we were immediately taken aback by the poor quality of the car seat. The inserts/cushions were paper thin and seemed completely unsafe for our precious newborn child. The pieces felt like plastic and it is evident that if we were to get into a car accident with this car seat, our son would not be protected. Due to these and several other concerns we contacted Graco to express our concern and dissatisfaction with the product. I just received a reply yesterday from their "safety expert" and their solution to all of these issues was to "roll up a receiving blanket and use it as a newborn insert". This is completely unacceptable and seems to me that is a cheap solution to a very serious issue. I have 2 small children under 2 and will never buy a Graco product ever again.

Noisy canopy
I’m torn on whether to recommend this product or not. It’s the lightest weight car seat that Graco makes at the best price….but the canopy…IT’S SO LOUD. Good luck trying to keep the baby sleeping. I’m annoyed with it right out of the box and considering returning but the thing that is stopping me is that the other car seats are about 2lbs heavier. I’m not sure what I will do.

Faulty shade dial; warranty not honored
The shade dial pops off when trying to lift the shade cover up or down, which ultimately prevents me from being able to move the shade cover up or down without breaking it. While Graco is nice enough to offer a warranty, they won’t honor it without proof of payment despite having registered the product after receiving it. Which normally wouldn’t be an issue, except for we got this off of a registry that can no longer be viewed (thank you Target for no longer offering universal registries). So unless we ask everyone who gave us a gift if this faulty pack and play was their purchase, Graco won’t help us. Lousy customer support. Unfortunately, this is not the only Graco product we received that is defective.

Ok car seat but lacks cushioning
This car seat is light weight and I like how easy it attaches to the stroller system but it lacks the proper padding and cushioning for my newborns head. We are having to use additional support that id not safe so we will be shopping for another car seat sooner than later.

Choose something else
First time parent bought and now after using wish we had chosen a different seat. The padding is not sufficient for supporting a newborn baby head. Very disappointing because I don’t feel confident in its safety or comfort. There are not strap covers and the straps tend to dig into the neck when secured properly. Sure, it gets the job done but I recommend choosing something else. I also wish the seat was able to recline when attached to the stroller, for baby comfort so head and neck aren’t compressed forward on weak airways. Additionally, the canopy should be able to be opened/closed with 1 hand, not requiring 2 hands to push in the buttons on either side.

Car seats for twins
I got these for my son and his girlfriend. They are expecting twins in a month. We have been shopping for car seats for a little while and found yours to be the best price at the time. I was hoping that the swivel car seats would go down in price. They could not afford them and me either. So these car seats where best in price at the time. So thanks.

My son....
My son, a 1st time dad really like this car seat! The ease of putting her in and getting her out really impressed him. I also purchased the extra base for them. So glad Graco done this! It is safer and easier to change cars without having to remove the base.

This seat saved my daughters life!
A little over a week ago a drunk driver hit my husband and my baby and completed totaled our car. They were hit so badly the car was flipped on it’s side. My daughter, who is 11 months old, was in your Graco SnugRide 35 Lite LX infant car seat. And it saved her life! Her carseat barely shifted in the accident and she walked away uninjured and safe! We also made sure we properly installed her carseat as the manual states and also make sure to fasten her in correctly! Car seat safety is extremely important, and having a well made seat helped with that! Signed, A Very Thankful Mama!

has some flaws
used for about a month so far, sometimes gets stuck and is hard to take off the base, there is not nearly enough head support and i had to order an insert to keep my babies head from flopping around. other than that it’s a pretty basic car seat
